Rail passengers have been warned of timetable changes which may affect their journeys.

Chiltern Railways has announces its new timetable coming into play on June 2 offering additional services and adjustments to improve punctuality.

Chiltern Railways advises all customers to utilise journey planners to check if their regular trains are affected by these changes.

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings will see the introduction of an extra train departing from Princes Risborough (0721), High Wycombe (0733) and Beaconsfield (0741), with a scheduled arrival at London Marylebone at 0807.

This change will add 380 seats to the busiest service of the day, optimising chances of securing a seat during rush hour.

Chiltern Railways has also indicated that clients who do not travel to London, but board from Haddenham or before, should double-check their journey plans as these changes may directly impact their travel.

The evening commuter hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will also see similar enhancements with an additional service from London Marylebone (1737), going directly to High Wycombe (1805), terminating at Princes Risborough (1818).

Chiltern Railways anticipates that this service, supplying an extra 380 seats, will be extremely popular with commuters from High Wycombe and Princes Risborough.

Other modifications in the schedule include the 1737 train from London Marylebone to Birmingham, first stop Haddenham & Thame Parkway, now leaving at 1733 on mid-week days.

Similarly, the 1745 train from London to Oxford will now call at Beaconsfield, not stopping at High Wycombe on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

This minor alteration is expected to ensure some Beaconsfield and High Wycombe passengers can get home slightly earlier with more seats available on these days.

There will also be various tweaks to other weekday departures and arrivals, adjustments for Saturdays, and minor amendments on Sundays.

Chiltern Railways encourages all its customers to familiarise themselves with the new timetable to ensure their travel plans remain smooth and punctual.
