New boss for South Bucks Hospice
A HOSPICE charity has welcomed a new CEO as it continues to fundraise for a new building.
Jo Woolf is the new CEO for South Bucks Hospice, after Tony Hardware stepped down from the position earlier this year.
The charity is aiming to move from its current premises in Amersham Road to a new purpose built centre to be sited in Totteridge, in order to meet an ever growing demand.
During the last 11 years Jo has worked in palliative care and was the fundraising and development manager for a charity supporting family carers in Bucks and Milton Keynes.
She was responsible for moving the Chilterns MS Centre from its 23 year old home in a temporary building to a new centre.
Jo said: "Our ambition and goal is to develop a purpose built centre with greater capacity and a wider range of treatments, to serve the South Bucks community. Our eventual aim is to support up to 60 per cent more people than we do currently.
"Our new hospice will also be dedicated to supporting the families and those people who care for someone at the end of their life. This is a mission close to my heart, as I have worked with carers for many years, and I have been a carer."
