SPEEDING motorists in Marlow will be given another reason to think twice about their actions when a new electronic warning sign is installed in the town in the new year.
Funding for a Moveable Vehicle Activated Sign (MVAS) has been secured from Bucks County Council as part of its Local Area Forum fund.
The £2500 grant was pursued by Marlow Town Council after requests from residents for the speed activated sign, which tells speeding drivers to slow down if they exceed the limit.
The moveable display will be positioned in various points throughout the town, with three problem spots identified.
Subject to permission from BCC, the sign will be placed near Sir William Borlase's School, on Oxford Road and on West Street on the way into town.
The equipment, which flashes up ‘30’ and ‘slow down’ when activated, can be seen in areas throughout south Bucks, including Flackwell Heath and Wooburn Green.
