PLANS have been revealed for a housing development just metres from Marlow Railway Station.
The nine-home project would see a row of eight three-storey town houses adjacent to the train tracks and overlooking the platform from the south.
Applicants ML Developments also want to build a separate two-bedroom cottage as part of the proposal, which was submitted to Wycombe District Council last week.
The land, an old coal yard, is currently unoccupied and is part of a designated council ‘Employment Area’, with trading estates surrounding it.
But developers claim the plot is not likely to be used for commercial purposes in the immediate future, claiming the need for housing in the area is greater.
WDC is expected to rule on the application for outline planning permission by mid February.
