A MAN was threatened at knifepoint while sat in his car by two men who tried to get him to leave his vehicle.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was in his car, a silver BMW M5, which was parked in front of Barclays Bank in New Road between 1pm and 1.40pm on December 22.

Two men approached the victim’s vehicle, and knocked on the window.

They then threatened the man in the car with a knife, before asking him to get out of the vehicle.

He refused to leave the car, after which the other two men left the scene on foot in the direction of Tesco.

The victim was not hurt during the incident, and no items were stolen.

Police describe the first suspect as being either black or mixed race, about 6ft tall, of thin build, with black short hair and a light beard. He was wearing a blue hooded jacket with a white zip and black trousers.

The second suspect is black, about 5ft 10ins tall, in his mid to late twenties, with black short hair and light beard. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket and light grey bottoms.

Investigating officer, PC Manminder Purewal said: “This incident happened during a busy time of day within a public accessible area. If you have any information about the offence please contact Thames Valley Police via101. “
