THE chairman of ercol has been recognised for his 40 years of service- becoming the 105th member to reach this milestone.

Edward Tadros is the grandson of Lucian Ercolani, who founded the furniture making factory.

Mr Tadros started working for the family business in 1973 and has worked throughout, with his particular passion for design and manufacturing.

He was awarded a silver plate for his 40 years service by managing director, Nick Garratt, at the annual ercol event for long service awards.

Mr Tadros said: "It's a huge privilege to receive this award and be amongst the team at ercol that is so successfully carrying the business onwards into the 21st century."

He was instrumental in the design and construction of the building in Princes Risborough and was appointed as works director in 1986, before being made chairman in 1994.
