A MAN had wine poured over him and was struck in the face with a glass by a woman, leaving his face cut, outside a bar in High Wycombe.

Police say the assault happened at the main entrance of Butler’s bar in Frogmoor at about 1.50am on December 28.

The victim, a man in his early forties, was smoking outside the bar when a woman asked him for a cigarette. When the victim refused, the woman returned to the bar and came out moments later with a glass of wine in her left hand.

Officers say the woman then poured the wine over the victim, before striking him in the face with the glass.

She then fled the scene on foot towards the town centre.

The suspect is described as white, of slim build, in her early twenties, about 5ft 8ins tall, with shoulder length dark straight hair. She was wearing a short black dress with black tights and black shoes.

The victim suffered a cut under his right eye and was treated at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
