A PILOT sustained slight injuries after his glider overshot a runway and crashed into trees in High Wycombe.
The Booker Gliding Club member ploughed into trees by the Territorial Army centre in Old Horns Way after overshooting a runway at Wycombe Air Park.
The club’s Sheila Clowry confirmed the man crashed the single-seat engineless glider during a local flight at about 1.15pm on Saturday.
She added the club was working with the British Gliding Association and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch as a matter of course.
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue said crews from High Wycombe and Marlow, along with Thames Valley Police officers, attended the scene at 1.26pm.
The man was passed into the care of paramedics. The club said he is “OK”.
