AFTER the chaos and damage wrought by floods across the country, an organisation has launched the ‘Buckinghamshire Flood Recovery Fund’, which aims to help stricken people and community groups get back on their feet.

The Buckinghamshire Community Foundation is now inviting contributions to the fund, that will help vulnerable individuals and also help community groups and social enterprises from across the area recover from the effects of the floods and restore their activities.

Richard Dickson, Director of Buckinghamshire Community Foundation: “These floods have caused huge damage in the heart of Bucks and it will take many months, if not years, for several communities to recover.

“However, we know also that Buckinghamshire people are nothing if not resourceful and we’re sure that lots of people will want to give to help people who’ve been affected.”

Grants will be available for vulnerable individuals severely affected by the floods and to enable local community groups and social enterprises who have been severely affected by the floods to recover and restore their activities.

To give to the Fund, please send a cheque payable to 'Buckinghamshire Community Foundation' to Foundation House, 119A Bicester Road, Aylesbury HP19 9BA or go online to give by clicking here.

To apply for a grant, please telephone 01296 330134 to speak to a member of the Community Foundation’s Grants & Outreach Team.
