A GERRARDS Cross School was magically transformed into Hogwarts last week as pupils celebrated world book day.
Year four to eight pupil at Gayhurst School in Bull Lane dressed up as some of the books famous characters and they even took part in an array of spell-binding activities.
Included in the activities were spell writing, potion making, the history of magic and of course, games of Quidditch.
Mrs Waters, one of the event’s organisers, said, “Reading underpins everything we do. It is so important and bringing the stories and characters to life for a day is just one thing we can do to encourage our children to develop a life-long love of books”.
