A PASSENGER was taken to hospital after two cars were involved in a collision on the A40 road near Beaconsfield, this evening.

The road has now been cleared whilst the passenger of one car was taken to hospital for precautionary tests.

One of the cars is also believed to have left the road after the collision, which happened around 5pm.

A Road Policing Unit spokesman said: "The road has now been cleared and a passenger of a Renault Clio has been taken to hospital for precautionary measures."

Eye witnesses have said one car landed in a wooded area on the side of the road, just past a bus stop.

It is believed the crash occurred near the Beaconsfield Garden Centre.
