A MURDER mystery-themed treasure trail was launched at the same time a school celebrated becoming an academy.

Balloons were released into the air as pupils and staff at Great Missenden School celebrated making the step up to academy status last week.

The Church Street school also unveiled the Great Missenden Treasure Trail at the same time - giving youngsters the chance to win an Easter Egg for solving it.

The trail takes participants around Great Missenden, with clues to solve scattered around the village.

Children and parents have been set the task of solving the mystery of who killed Bob Martinsend - a local politician responsible for building a new railway through the village who has been found floating in the river Misbourne.
