Precocious talent on show at youth concert
PRECOCIOUS musical talent from across South Bucks gathered at a packed Marlow church for a charity concert celebrating the best young musicians in the area.
The annual show at All Saints Church, organised by The Rotary Club of Marlow, saw two groups from High Wycombe Music Centre play to a full house of over 200 parents and music lovers.
The centre’s Youth String Orchestra and Guitar Consort entertained crowds with classical music from Debussy, Bizet and Brahms, and a new composition by Dan Jones .
Rotarian Lance Slater said: "It was again a great success, with the Church being full with over 200 parents and the general public supporting this very exciting event. As usual the music was performed to an excellent standard
"The very high standard of play is a tribute to all the young schoolchildren from schools throughout the area between the ages of 13 to 17, especially the leaders of the orchestra Huaxing Huang and Hepzibah Hill."
The President of the Rotary Club of Marlow David Duxbury thanked All Saints for the use of the church, as well as the members of the High Wycombe Music Centre and residents for their support .
The event on Saturday, March 29 raised around £1500 to help the club in their ongoing bid to support those in need both in the area and overseas
