HUGHENDEN Parish Council has welcomed a new councillor to its midst.
Simon Kearey was co-opted onto the council at Tuesday night's monthly meeting for the Hughenden Valley ward.
He has lived in the ward for 14 years and is chairman of the committee for Widmer End United.
Mr Kearey works for Oxfordshire County Council and is also chair of governors at Great Kingshill C of E Combined School, chair of the Royal Grammar School Parents Association and chair of Wycombe Heritage and Arts Trust.
He said: "It would be a pleasure to be more and more involved in the local area in which I love."
Councillors welcomed Mr Kearey to the council. There are still two vacancies for the Great Kingshill and Hughenden Valley wards.
