TRAFFIC lights will be going up around the county this week as road improvement works begin.

A total of eight roads will be worked on as part of Transport for Buckinghamshire's 'We're Working On It' programme.

The biggest project will be resurfacing of the A413 London Road at Chalfont St Giles, where work starting today will last until Friday, April 25. Temporary traffic lights will be in place between 9.30am-4pm each weekday.

Disruption can also be expected on Cryers Hill Road today, with work lasting for one day, and on Horton Road in Horton.

Tomorrow crews turn their attention to the A4 at Taplow and Colinswood Road in Farnham, with night time work taking place.

Night time work then takes place on Gore Hill in Amersham and New Road in High Wycombe on Wednesday, before Iver High Street receives treatment on Thursday.

Transport for Buckinghamshire say every effort has been made to maintain access for residents, although there may be some delay as works pass properties and the group is apologising in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Parked cars can delay or prevent work being carried out, so drivers are asked to avoid parking in areas where work is scheduled.
