I hope the entire cast gives every resident of Ivor Village the two-fingered salute and boycott the shops because of the opposition to Pinewood using their own land by developing it for more filming.

Serves the village of the d4mned right!!!

For a start, it's IVER not IVOR - and I presume this mistake of yours is indicative of the amount you actually know. Secondly, Pinewood affects Iver Village less than it affects the surrounding areas of Iver Heath, Fulmer and Wexham - so a little odd to understand why you single out Iver Village.

Even if you own land on which your house is built, you have to get planning permission from the local council if you want to develop it. They will take into account, amongst other things, the effect on your neighbours. Would you be happy if the council allowed your neighbour to build an eyesore next to your house without considering how it affects you and the other neighbours? I doubt it.

I don't think Pinewood's neighbours have too much of a problem with the place the way it is, but they don't want massive development on local green-belt land, which is quite understandable.

Similar principles are applied to the proposed third runway at Heathrow and, of course, to HS2.
