A VOLCANO climber who is chasing a world-record has been set back in her quest to reach the top.
Sophie Cairns from Denham, was attempting to climb the highest volcano in every continent in memory of her late father.
However, after completing her sixth climb earlier this month she was forced to return home from the seventh as bad weather ruined her day in the sun.
However, despite hoping to finish her attempt in four months, she now hopes to finish in just five months, shaving over half a year from the previous unofficial record.
Sophie is raising money for Cancer Research UK, after her father died from esophageal cancer in 2008.
