TRAVELLERS who have been occupying land in the district for almost two weeks were evicted from a site in Chalfont St Peter last night.

About 10 caravans moved onto Goldhill Common at 10pm on Wednesday this week, but it is believed they were evicted yesterday.

A resident told the Bucks Free Press this morning that they were moved on after an eviction order was served.

Although it appears no rubbish was left behind on this occasions travellers left 15 tonnes of rubbish behind in Cressex when they were evicted on Wednesday.

It is not known at this point where the travellers plan to go next after first setting up camp in Cressex, then Booker and most recently in Chalfont St Peter.
