MORE than 6,000 people enjoyed a “fun and relaxed” atmosphere at Cliveden recently as guests celebrated the birthday of one of their former owners.
The life of Nancy Astor, who graced the grounds in the 1930s, was celebrated on Sunday, May 18.
Guests were lucky enough to bask in the sunshine on the day and the children enjoyed the many entertaining events.
As well as face painting there was also a Punch and Judy show, a picnic and a live band.
Katherine Walton, Visitor Services Officer said: “Thousands of people turned up on the day to join in the celebrations with Punch and Judy and face painting being particularly popular.
“The atmosphere was fun and relaxed with lots of people making the most of the good weather and bringing picnics along to enjoy while the live band played.”
