A CHARITY has purchased three new scooters to help people with walking difficulties navigate their way around High Wycombe town.

High Wycombe Shopmobility picked up the shiny new scooters following a £3,600 donation from Red Kite Community Housing’s community fund.

Claire McMackin, Shopmobility Manager, said: “Our team of five staff and fantastic volunteers are really grateful for the donation, so we’d like to say a big thank you to Red Kite.

“Our aim is to promote independence and improve daily living for anyone with limited mobility, whether that’s on a temporary or permanent basis, so these new scooters are a great addition for us – feedback has been very positive.”

Located in Eden, Shopmobility offers the free daily loan of electric scooters, and manual and powered wheelchairs to enable people to get around the town for business commitments or a trip to the shops.
