A COMMUNITY music festival gearing up for its second instalment has been given a boost thanks to a Marlow supermarket.
Waitrose on Liston Road nominated Marlow Rock Bottom to receive a grant as part of its ‘Music Matters’ charity scheme.
Organisers Jason Batten and Richard Moss joined Waitrose staff last Friday for the handover of the £1500 cheque.
A sell-out success last time round, the one day family festival on the playing fields adjacent to Burford School sees headline act and 1980s chart band The Beat take to the stage on September 6.
And as well as a range of emerging acts from the area, there are plenty of attractions for the family including fairground rides, circus skills and a fully stocked bar.
Funds from Marlow Rock Bottom will replace the money usually raised by the summer fete, which folded due to a lack of volunteers, and will go towards the upkeep of the playing fields.
Tickets available from Longhursts Marlow Bottom, Marlow Tourist Information and Martins in Bourne End.
Alternatively go online atwwww.marlowrockbottom.co.uk for tickets and information.
