THE West Wycombe Women's Institute celebrated its 90th anniversary with a special lunch on Tuesday.
On June 17 it was 90 years since the group was formed- the first meeting was held in 1924 in West Wycombe and presided over by a lady called Mrs Pickles.
Lady Helen Dashwood was also an early president of the group.
To celebrate the occasion 27 members and three guests went for lunch at Wycombe Heights Golf Club, with music from David Young and a talk on West Wycombe Park and the Dashwoods by Peter Hague.
The group meet on the third Tuesday of each month (except August) at 2pm in the village hall.
There is a varied programme of activities and talks and welcome any new members. Call Janice Hemmings on 01494 881049 or Mary Simmons on 01494 881609.
