TV and radio presenter Paul Ross has nominated Stokenchurch Dog Rescue as his top charity with proceeds from a new book going to the cause.

Paul, the brother of presenter Jonathan, lives near Cadmore End and is pictured with his two dogs in a new book called The Pawtraits Exhibition.

More than 30 celebrities are featured in the book with their pets and they have each nominated a charity to support- when people buy the book they name the charity they want to donate to.

Paul nominated Stokenchurch Dog Rescue, where is wife, Jackie is a dog walker.

A large version of the book is £25 with a smaller one for £15.

Joyce Marriott, chairman of SDR, attended a reception at London' Cafe Royal to help launch the book with several celebrities including Born Free's Virginia McKenna.

Joyce got the book signed, which will be auctioned at a garden party at the kennels on July 27.

Among those featured with pets in the book are Dame Eileen Atkins, Paul O'Grady, Coronation Street's Michelle Collins, Martin Clunes, Simon Callow and Brian May.

Joyce said: "We're really grateful to Paul Ross for nominating our charity and hope we'll do well from subsequent donations."
