THE High Wycombe Race for Life takes place this Sunday at 11am at The Rye.

Thousands of women are set to take part in the 5km race which starts and finishes at the Rye to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

They can walk, run, jog or dance on their way round the course and by getting sponsored to fund life-saving research, they will be helping more people survive cancer.

Last year, 2,000 women took part and raised £159,386. So far this year 2,450 people have entered.

People can enter up until midnight tonight (Friday) but there is no entry after this. Entry is £14.99 per adult and £10 per child aged six to 15. To enter go to www.raceforlife.org or call 0845 600 6050.

Organisers are asking people to park in the town centre and walk to the start, which is next to Pann Mill Watermill.
