A MAN who was found dead in woodland in Chesham Bois has been named.
He has been identified by the Coroner's Office as 25-year-old Ashley Birch of Quill Hall Lane, Amersham.
Mr Birch's body was found in woodland on Thursday, June 26 by police officers searching the area after receiving a call fearing for the welfare of a man.
Mr Birch worked for the removals and storage company Clarks of Amersham.
A post on the company's Facebook page said: "We would like to thank you all for your kind messages, emails and phone calls at this very sad time. The loss of our colleague and friend Ashley is truly devastating and at this time our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family. We will make sure your words and messages are passed on to them."
An inquest into his death has been opened and adjourned.
