WORLD famous musicians from Marlow’s twin town will make a special visit to the town during their visit to headline a top UK jazz festival this month.
The Budapest Ragtime Band from Hungary will stop off in Marlow on July 22 for a special show before headlining the Marlborough International Jazz Festival and other large venues.
In 2007, Marlow was twinned with Budavar, District One in Budapest due to its heritage of iconic bridges.
Both Marlow Bridge and Budapest’s famous chain bridge were designed by the same man, William Tierney Clark, with Marlow’s landmark a scaled-down replica of the one spanning the Danube.
And the band will pose for photographs by the famous structure before taking to the stage at Marlow Jazz Club, Royal British Legion Hall.
Tickets cost £10 and can be booked by contacting 01628 486571.
