THE sun shone for Penn Festival at the weekend with lots of families enjoying the live music.
The fourth Penn Festival was held in Penn Street from Friday to Sunday.
From The Jam played a well received gig on the Sunday with people on Facebook praising how well it went.
There is very much a focus on keeping the children entertained at the family friendly festival, and there was a section called Play Penn this year.
Although some complained about the cost of the rides, others praised the organisation.
Marshals were bowled over by the number of honest people who handed in lost phones and valuable possessions, which were returned to their happy owners.
And there was generally a friendly feel to the festival.
Other bands who played included Hot Chocolate, Buzzcocks, Betty Boo, The Dualers and Whigfield.
