A CUSTOM-built mountain bike was stolen from a garage during a burglary.

The garage in Grange Road, Cookham, was forced open sometime between 7pm on Wednesday, August 6, and 8am on Thursday 7.

The bike is a distinctive custom made Kensis Maxlight Pro 3 Mountain Bike painted silver.

Police have launched an appeal for information to trace the missing bike.

Anyone with information should contact PC Kimberley Buckle from Maidenhead police station on 101 or the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Do we really have so much spare time in TVP that they can focus on a single bicycle when they ignore all the other more major crimes?

Nothing against the bike owner, but this has to be a joke!

Each and every time there is a crime incident in Thames Valley, cries go out for help from the Police. Why ? Why should we be doing their jobs when they are utterly not capable to do much on their own. I go to my work, pay my own bills and taxes and never ask anyone to come and help do my shifts and my hours at work so I can go and collect an award that I so not deserve!

The police are utterly useless. As mentioned, focussing the press on a missing bike when there are other, larger priorities is a joke. I expect the bike belonged to a copper or one of their mates.

The people who have commented saying the police are useless and moaning about them looking for a missing bike would NOT be moaning if it was your bike they were looking for!
