HEARING Dogs for Deaf People will be opening its doors this month for its Late Summer Show.

On Sunday, September 14, the family event will run from 11am to 4pm at its Saunderton grounds.

Highlights include an all-day fun dog show, hearing dog demonstrations and kids fun zone.

Melanie Tyrer, event organiser, said: "With so many exciting activities on offer, the Hearing Dogs Late Summer Show is a great day out for all the family.

"All funds raised on the day will help the charity train more clever hearing dog puppies to change the lives of deaf people, so we hope that lots of visitors and four-legged friends will come to support us on the day."

The Fun Dog Show will take place in the main arena and visitors will be asked to enter their dogs into categories such as Waggiest Tail, Most Appealing Eyes and Best Trick.

The dog show will be judged by vet Judy Puddifoot from the current TV programme on BBC 2 - Young Vets.

The charity’s clever canines will also be showing off their skills in hearing dog demonstrations throughout the day.

The main arena will see a parade of vintage and show cars and children will be kept busy in the Kids Fun Zone with bouncy castles, face painting and can have-a-go on the HamsterZorbs.

There will be refreshments available and food stalls.

A family ticket costs £20, adults £7, concessions £5, children £4 and under fives go free.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People does not receive any government funding and relies solely on the generosity of supporters to continue its life-changing work.
