A MARLOW company’s conference will take an alternate route next Wednesday as employees run, walk, cycle and canoe 2014km, all in aid of charity.

Healthcare group Open Health, which has over 130 employees throughout the town, is planning to raise £10,000 in total with its day of action.

And part of the money is being pledged to Longridge Activity Centre to boost its funds after it was badly damaged in this year’s floods.

Daisy Carey, Account Manager, said: “Longridge is particularly special as four agencies within the group are located in Marlow and many of the employees are local so this charity is very close to their hearts.

“We want to give as much back as possible, especially after the awful flooding they experienced.”

Employees are challenging themselves to a variety of activities including running, cycling, walking, canoeing and dragon boat racing on the day of their company conference.

The firm will also be raising funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Transplant Links Community.
