IF BREAKING Bad had stayed this side of the law, it may have turned out something a little like this.

Marlow man Chris Clarke is celebrating after the fireworks company he set up with his chemistry teacher took second place in a top UK competition last week.

The IT expert designed his first digital firework firing system while at university, and established Sonning Fireworks in 1999 with alongside other former students.

Residents will no doubt have seen the 32-year-old’s explosive work in action at public displays such as the Crowne Plaza and Compleat Angler Hotels in Marlow.

He said: “The competition was held at Eastnor Castle with some of the top UK fireworks display companies. We had to produce a ten minute pyromusical show but were limited to 120kg of explosives.

“This was the first year we entered the competition but have been invited back next year to compete again. We didn't win but did come second which is pretty good for our first time at one.”
