A FAMILY were left disappointed after they thought they had found one of their pet cats- only to discover the feline belonged to someone else.

Louise Race and her family are desperately searching for three of their cats- Leo, Bess and George- who escaped from a cat pen in a garden in Hugenden Valley on August 15.

They had dropped off five of their cats while they went on holiday, but three escaped.

Last Sunday they thought they had found Leo near the Harrow in Hughenden but when the cat's microchip was scanned it was discovered his name was Otis and he was reunited with his owners who had missed him for a month.

Leo has short-hair, black fur with a very few white hairs on his chest and is five.

Bess has short-hair, black fur with a white bib and paws and is described as a little on the tubby side. She is microchipped, as is Leo.

George is a laid-back, big cat who is a short-haired black and tabby.

The family live near Waddesdon and are following up on all sightings.

A reward of £250 is offered for the safe return of each of the cats.

If you think you have spotted Leo, Bess or George phone Louise on 07759 025019.

Updates are being posted on a Facebook page called Find Three Cats.
