NEW parents, and anyone else who has recently used maternity services in Bucks, are being asked to take part in a survey about their experiences.
The study, run by Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Groups, is part of a programme to look at the needs of women during pregnancy and those accessing maternity services in the county to ensure they are fit for the future.
Sue Burke, Health Commissioner, said; "We are seeing an increase in the number of births across the county and in the latest national survey which was carried out in 2011, the total fertility rate was higher in Buckinghamshire than it was in the rest of England.
"To ensure that our services can meet this increasing demand and provide the best care possible, we are working with the CCGs, to carry out a survey to ensure that the needs of the community are fully represented.
"The project will cover the full range of maternity requirements, including, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care for women and their families. In addition to scheduled and unscheduled care, outpatient, inpatient, community and home based service."
Patients can access the online survey until 17 October at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PKL6SLC
