Trains were suspended between Marylebone and Amersham today after a woman was struck by a train in Rickmansworth.
No Chiltern Railways trains were running between Amersham and London while emergency services attended the scene, but the line has since reopened.
British Transport Police officers attended along with paramedics and a woman was treated for injuries before being taken to hospital.
Her injuries are thought to be serious but not life threatening and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
