TK Maxx’s new High Wycombe store will finally be opened tomorrow morning after years of planning.

Considered to be the worst kept secret in High Wycombe’s history, bosses at The Eden Shopping Centre only confirmed the retailing giant would open a town centre store last week.

The large two-storey shop replaces a number of stores in the shopping centre, including Mothercare, and will be opened to the public from 10am tomorrow.

Despite months of rumours and questioning from the Bucks Free Press, Eden Shopping Centre bosses refused to confirm that a deal had been struck with TK Maxx.

Signs were even displayed outside advertising the TK Maxx opening before it was officially confirmed.

However, after years of planning, marketing manager, Niamh Crowley said they were “delighted” ahead of tomorrow’s opening.

She said: “We’ve been working with TK Maxx for the past few years to provide a suitable space for their requirements.

“We’re delighted to be delivering the new store in such a prominent part of Eden and with such a good presence on the High Street.

“We’re really excited to see the full range, dual level store offering a huge selection of fashion and accessories for women, men, kids and the home, all with amazing savings, opening in Eden.

“Eden Walk is the perfect place for a retailer such as TK Maxx and we’re looking forward to the expanded offer at that end of the centre.”

Clothing and other products for the home will be on offer, TK Maxx says, with a series of deliveries bringing new stock every week.
