A 28-year-old man has been jailed for two years for stealing cigarettes and sunglasses worth more than £10,000 in a spate of burglaries last year.
Sebastian Reeve, of no fixed abode, was put behind bars this week after he stole sunglasses worth 1,906.60 from Ashtons Opticians, Flackwell Heath, on October 28, cigarettes worth £790 from WH Smith Local, in Furlong Road, Bourne End, the following day and more sunglasses, this time worth £7,794, from The Parade, Bourne End, between 7pm on November 1, 2016 and 2.40am on November 2, 2016.
Case investigator Hilary Layton, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Thames Valley Police is committed to tackling this type of crime and bringing offenders to justice.
“We welcome the sentence in this case and hope it demonstrates the seriousness of these offences and will act as a deterrent to others.
“I would like to thank the victims for their patience and support during the investigation of this case.”
