A memorial football match to mark the fifth anniversary of the death of Amersham teenager Aaron West takes place in this Sunday.
The match between the Aaron West XI and the Our Chesham Team will take place at Chesham United FC on Sunday, October 18, kick-off 2pm.
Money raised from the match will be donated to the Aaron West Goalkeeping Academy, the charity set up in Aaron's memory five years ago.
Aaron’s mother, Dax West, said: “It's a time for gathering with friends and families in the memory of a very special young man who thought of others and just wanted to teach goalkeeping and help others learn.
“Please invite your friends and family along and relax and enjoy the day with me.”
A promising footballer, Aaron died from a rare form of liver cancer in 2010 at the age of 16.
His dying wish was to set up a sports academy to give training to other young goalkeepers in the Buckinghamshire area.
