Aaron West’s Goalkeeping Academy celebrated their fifth anniversary with a charity match at Chesham Football Club on Sunday.
The academy was founded in the memory of Aaron West who died of a rare form liver cancer at the age of 16 back in 2010.
The match, between the Aaron West XI and the Our Chesham Team, raised £687 for the academy.
Dax West, Aaron’s mother, said: “It went brilliantly well. There were a lot of new faces and my whole family came for the first time. It felt really complete.
“The next step is to keep it going and increase the funding. We are aiming to do two events a year from now on.”
