An Amersham car garage has reassured its customers the business is not closing after a developer revealed early plans to build retirement flats on the site.
CSG Amersham says it will see out its lease on the Broadway site, which runs until December 2019, after a public exhibition was held McCarthy and Stone earlier this montn.
Jason Holt, director at CSG Amersham, said: “We've got no intention to move. Our lease on the site is current until December 2019.
“We also own other sites and property locally. If, in the distant future, we do need to leave 59-61 The Broadway, we will not be closing and we would not be moving far.
“CSG Motor Company Ltd is a local company who has invested a great deal of money and effort in looking after local customers – which we will continue to do.”
To date, a formal planning application is yet to be submitted by McCarthy and Stone.
CSG Amersham did not confirm whether it planned to extend its lease on the current site beyond December 2019.
