A public funeral will take place next week in the memory of Amersham councillor Davida Allen who passed away two weeks ago.
The Liberal Democrat district councillor, who served the Amersham Town ward and lived in Stanley Hill, was described by her colleagues as "a great councillor, a friend and a wonderful character".
The ceremony will take place at 12.30pm on Tuesday November 24 at St Mary's Church, Old Amersham.
The funeral cortege will start at noon from Stanley Hill, before travelling up Woodside Road - stopping at Chiltern District Council - up Hill Avenue and down Station Road to St Mary’s Church.
Speaking shortly after Mrs Allen's death, Chair of the Chiltern District council, Cllr Mimi Harker, said: "Davida's loss will be keenly felt within the Council where her contribution made such a great impact.
"She was someone who spoke without rancour and always fought for the greater good.
"We have lost a fantastic Councillor, but more than that, a wonderful person."
