Children from an all-girls independant school in Amersham dressed up as their favourite literary characters as the school held their ‘Book Week’ last week.
As well as fancy dress, the week-long event at Heatherton House School, Copperkins Lane, featured drama workshops from ‘Stories and More’ - an interactive story-telling troupe - a Travelling Book Fair, and a design your own bookmark competition.
Reception pupil Romilly Sampson said: “Book Week has been so much fun! I really loved dressing up and we learned that books are food for your brain.”
