A woman and a dog had to be rescued from their home in Amersham after fire broke out in the kitchen.
Three fire crews, one from Amersham, one from Beaconsfield and another from High Wycombe, were called at 6.36pm on Friday evening to a fire in a ground-floor flat in Park Place.
Firefighters had to force entry into the flat to rescue the woman and her pet and gave oxygen to the woman, who was suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke.
