Community events in Amersham and Chesham

Amersham Band are hosting a quiz night on Friday January 22 from 7.30pm at Drake Hall, Amersham Community Centre on Chiltern Avenue (HP8 5AH). The quiz, which includes a general knowledge and musical theme, will raise funds for the Band Room Appeal. Tickets are £12.50 per person which includes a Ploughman's Supper. Try your hand at Tai Chi in the Chilterns with weekly classes continuing on Monday January 18 from 2-3pm. All levels are welcome. Classes take place at Coleshill Village Hall, Barracks Hill, Coleshill and are priced at £7 .50 per session or if you book eight classes in advance you receive a 15 per cent discount (price is £50.00). Chesham Bois Catholic Players’ performance of The Magic Toyshop takes place from January 21-24 at The Elgiva Theatre, St Mary’s Way, Chesham (HP5 1HR). The story of The Magic Toyshop is based upon the beautiful story of The Steadfast Tin Soldier by Hans Christian Andersen.
