The new vicar of Amersham-on-the-Hill’s parish church is set to be licensed this month.
Revd Debbie Oades will be installed at St Michael and All Angels Church, following an evening service led by the Bishop of Buckingham, the Rt Revd Dr Alan Wilson on March 15.
Revd Oades joins St Michael’s from the Parish of Maybush in Southampton.
The mum-of-two is originally from Kingston upon Hull and was ordained a Deacon in July, 2006, before becoming a priest the following year.
She will be moving into the vicarage with her husband Rob and their two dogs.
She said: “Rob and I are both looking forward to becoming part of both St Michael and All Angels and the wider community.”
Revd Oades’ first Sunday service will be on Palm Sunday, March 20. She replaces Revd Diana Glover, who retired last year after 10 years as vicar of St Michael’s.
