CCTV images have been released after an 87-year-old woman had over £2,000 stolen out of her bank account in Amersham.

It is believed a man watched the elderly woman enter her pin in to an ATM machine on Chesham High Street at around 11:15 am on Thursday, February 11.

The pensioner then later headed in to a shop on Sycamore Road in Amersham where a woman distracted her and stole her bank card.

This woman then met up with the man who obtained the elderly lady’s pin and they withdrew over £2,000 from her bank account using an ATM in Amersham.

Police would like to speak to the two people in the CCTV images in connection with the incident.

Investigating Officer, PC Gary Morton from Amersham Police Station, said:

“The offenders took advantage of the victim’s vulnerability to firstly, observe her PIN at the ATM, and then to take her bank card in the store. I’d like to ask for the public’s assistance in locating the two people in the images who might be able to help our investigation.”
