WYCOMBE District Swimming Club's Commonwealth Games gold medallist Simon Burnett continued his run of success in the National Championships with a silver medal in the 200m freestyle on the last day of the British National Short-Course Championships in Cambridge last week.
The 19-year-old came second in a close finish to British record holder Jamie Salter from Edinburgh.
His time also broke the 19 year-old Berks & S Bucks County record held by Olympian Philip Hubble. He also made four other finals placing fourth in the 50m freestyle, fifth in the 100m freestyle, seventh in the 50m backstroke and eighth in the 100m backstroke.
Seventeen-year-old Alex Vine competed in his first senior short-course championship in the 200m butterfly.
