Crawford is named top swimmer

SWIMMING: James Crawford won top overall junior swimmer for this year's Berks & South Bucks Championships.

The 14-year-old Wycombe District swimmer also scooped the Bagcats top 14-years boys award, while Katie Ambridge won the 12-years Bagcats award and Jennifer Howard the 13-years award.

Wycombe Swimming Club also scooped top club award in the men's and came second in the women's.

Meanwhile, the past of this year's championships took place at Wycombe Sports Centre on Saturday, with 18 relay events.

And every Wycombe swimmer won a medal, with the club scooping seven golds, seven silver and four bronze.

This included golds in the men's 4x100m medley and 4x100m freestyle for Nicholas Grover, Rupert Lee, Alex Vine, Michael Sturgess and Crawford.
