ROBERT Matthews-Stroud went on a medal-winning spree at the weekend in Bournemouth.
The Wycombe District Swimmer collected a massive eight golds and three silvers as Wycombe won the top visiting club award out of 45 clubs at the weekend meet.
Matthews-Stroud, competing in the 13-years category, won gold in the 100m and 200m individual medleys, 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke, 50 and 200m freestyle and 50m butterfly. He also silver in the 100m freestyle, 100m butterfly and 50m breaststroke.
The mega-medallist was closely followed by Jeni Howard, also competing in the 13-years age group.
She won the 200m individual medley, the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 400m individual medleyto gain six golds and she also won a bronse in the Open 200m individual medley.
Charlotte Ambridge won four golds in the 15-years age group. She came first in the 50 and 100m butterfly and the 100m and 200m freestyle, while also gaining silver in the 100m individual medley, 200m butterfly and 50m freestyle and a bronze in the Open 100m individual medley.
James Crawford, competing in the 14-years age group, won gold in the 200m individual medley, 200m backstroke and 200m freestyle, silver in the 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle, 100m individual medley and 50m backstroke and bronze in the 50m butterfly, the Open 200m backstroke and the 100m butterfly.
There were three golds for Joshua Privett in the 12-years age group for the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events. He also won silver in the 20m butterfly.
James Poulter, competing in the 15-years age group, won the 100m backstroke and 50m butterfly, a silver in the 50m freestyle and bronze in the 50m breaststroke, 100m butterfly, 200m freestyle, 100m individual medley and 50m backstroke.
Katie Ambridge won a gold in the 50m butterfly and silver in the 200m individual medley, 100m freestyle, 200m breaststroke, 400m individual medley and 200m freestyle in the 13-years age group.
And Nicholas Grover, 19, returned personal best times in winning the 200m backstroke and placing third in the 200m freestyle events.
There were also silvers for Scott Mudge, in the 14-years age group, and 11-year-old Edward Howard.
And Andrew Carpenter, 13, Daniel Crawford, 11 and Carol Messider, 12, all won bronzes to help Wycombe to a total of 28 golds, 23 silvers and 18 bronzes.
