Cllr John Read met with Mayor George Bourelle in Beaconsfield City Hall, in Quebec, where he was presented with a book of the history of Beaconsfield CA and received a grand tour of the civil building.
He was also presented with an honorary key to thank him for maintaining the links between the two towns.
Cllr Read presented Mayor Bourelle with a framed photograph of Beaconsfield town hall.
He also served representative of Beaconsfield UK in a programme of events laid out as part of the council’s Canada day celebrations.
Cllr Read said: "The connection between the two Beaconsfield’s dates back to the time of Disraeli; I am delighted to be able to celebrate this link and continue the sense of shared history."
