A man who had to be cut free from his car after a crash on the M40 has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
An air ambulance landed on the motorway between J1A M25 and J2 A355 (Beaconsfield) earlier today after one car was involved in a collision.
An injured man had to be cut free from his vehicle following the crash and is believed to be suffering serious injuries.
Emergency crews have rushed to the scene and the injured person has now been taken to John Radcliffe Hospital.
According to travel links, traffic was stopped earlier as an air ambulance landed on the carriageway.
Delays are expected and the exit from the M25 anticlockwise, onto the M40 northbound remains closed.
